DEALING WITH STRESS

Taking time for yourself is so important! I cannot stress this enough. Life isn’t easy and there are so many things pulling us every which way. Sometimes life can drag us down and all we want to do is give up. That’s why today I’m talking about taking care of yourself. When you are feeling down and that the world is against you, you must take time for yourself, to heal, and to restore your energy. Finding a hobby that you can do on your own is a good way to relieve stress, and to fight that feeling of being overwhelmed with life. Whenever I feel this way I turn to yoga, hiking, or the gym. Even if I worked out that day, I will do another workout because working out is my outlet to let go of all of the stress that I have built up inside of me just from life in general. Now, working out may not be the answer for everyone, but a hobby, whether it be cooking, baking, gardening, whatever it may be, find that one thing that you can do by yourself. Spend quality time with yourself. Another tip I have is to find your happy place. My happy place, as I’ve said before, is the beach. When I step foot on the beach all of my worries are gone. My mind can finally breathe and rest for as long as I am there. I stay there for as long as I need. When it comes time for me to leave I leave feeling positive and renewed. I feel like I have a fresh mind to take on the rest of my day, happily, and humble. I hope this post helps those of you who are looking for ways to calm your mind.
