HEALTHY CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES

I N G R E D I E N T S

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Do this first, before you start mixing your ingredients, so that you can put the cookie dough in the oven right away 

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup of Smart Balance margarine softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups uncooked oats
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup Ghirardelli premium baking chips 60% cocoa or +
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

This recipe makes about 3 1/2 dozen  
KITCHENAID MIXER

D I R E C T I O N

Mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, & salt together
Stir margarine & sugar together until just mixed in separate bowl (I use the KitchenAid mixer)
Next, blend in flour, oats, eggs, & vanilla
Stir in chocolate chips & walnuts
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2” apart on greased baking sheet
Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until lightly browned
Transfer to wired racks immediately to cool
Don’t forget to try one, you know, just to make sure they are tasty 

These delicious, healthy, cookies are the perfect treat for cuddle weather! Plus, they are loaded with fiber
