HOW TO KEEP POSITIVE WHEN YOU'RE NOT FEELING TOO HOT

We all have those days where we aren’t feeling ourselves! And for me, today is one of those days!  I’m not sad or anything like that. My allergies have been acting up. I have a headache, an annoying cough that won’t go away, and to top things off I keep sneezing randomly! I hate it because everyone thinks I am sick, I mean I understand why others would think that, but please believe me when I tell you that I am not. Lol. Below, I’ve listed a few tips of advice for when you yourself aren’t feeling too hot! 

 

1.) HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE: Our bodies need water to function properly and to help clear out impurities and toxins from our bodies. 

 

2.) IF YOU CHOOSE TO WORKOUT, TAKE IT EASY!: I am obsessed with getting my workout in each day. I love working out, it is literally a fun hobby to me. I do Yoga everyday, and when I don’t feel myself, it’s hard to stay motivated. That is why I don’t push myself too hard. Today I did a light Yoga session with relaxing poses included in my flow. I didn’t do a ton of strengthening poses, just a lot of poses that helped stretch out my body (think child’s pose, and downward dog). Although, I couldn’t hold downward dog ad much as I would have liked because of my sinus issue. I also walk around my house with my ankle weights on to add a little bit of hardness to regular walking.

 

3.) GET GOOD SLEEP!: I tend to nap a lot during the day when I can, if I am feeling a little under the weather. Listening to what your body is trying to tell you is key. If your body is struggling to do something, don’t do it!

 

4.) GET FRESH AIR: I don’t think there is anything worse than being stuck inside all day when you are feeling under the weather. I like to spend a while out with nature, and breathe in all of the fresh air!

 

5.) EAT HEALTHY: My go to meal when I am feeling not so hot is something hot! Lol. I love soup when I feel like this! All kinds of soup, but it has to be homemade!

 

I am also taking two medications to help my symptoms. I hope I start to recover soon because this feeling isn’t fun! Happy Tuesday everyone! I am so ready for the weekend! Who else is with me?
