A dog, is a girl’s best friend, not jewelry.
I know this is late, but in honor of #nationalpetday I want to introduce you guys to my Chicken! She is a poodle mixed with a maltese a.k.a., a Maltipoo! The real name I gave her was Snowbell, but I randomly started calling her chicken. It was just a nickname that stuck. I just remember thinking one day, “She’s such a crazy chicken!” And, the rest is history. She will always and forever have that nickname! I feel bad though because my niece is only two and she’s barely learning her animals. When I call my pup Chicken, I just hope she doesn’t actually think that she is a chicken haha. That is one way to confuse a toddler! And it would be all of my fault haha. Chicken was an early Christmas gift for me and my younger sis! I remember always asking for a puppy for Christmas, like every little kid, when I was younger, and then once I was old enough I stopped asking, and that is when I get the puppy haha. Thee irony, I swear!!! I have had Chicken for five years already, and she has literally changed my whole life around. I love her so so much! She is the literal dog version of me. I kid you not! Every time I go home I can already hear her whining at the door. And as soon as I open the door she comes running towards me, and jumps on me. I would always wear items that were easily snag(able), so I have to alter what I wear to my Mom’s house so she doesn’t ruin anymore black tights, or oversized knitted sweaters. I’ll also never forget the time I was feeling extremely ill and she had never seen me that sick before in her entire life. She layed with me all night long on the couch. When I woke up during the night, I reached for the piece of toast my Mom had made me just in case I got hungry during the night because I hadn’t eaten dinner that night, which totally sucked because my family had garlic&olive oil spaghetti, one of my favorite dishes! Anyways, I woke up hungry and started eating the piece of toast, and Chicken looked up at me and decided see was starving too, so her and I ate my dry toast together, then went back to sleep. When I woke up again during the night, I was running a fever and she rested her head on my shoulder to keep me company. She is the sweetest dog and I am so thankful she is my Chicken! Sorry I know this post is a few days late, but I wanted so badly to tell you guys about my baby! I hope everyone’s day is going well. I want to let you guys know that I have been feeling a little under the weather these past couple of days, which is why I didn’t post yesterday. I am slowly, but surely recovering, and I should be back to posting everyday very soon LOVE YOU!
