What you will need
1.) Cotton string
3.) A hanger, hook, or a safe place outside
Make sure when you’re drying your herbs that they are hanging in a well ventilated area
1.) Cut an 8″ piece of cotton string
2.) Gather 15-20 pieces of the herb you are wanting to dry
3.) Tie the cotton string tightly around the stems of the herb bunch
4.) Make a loop and tie a knot on the other end of the cotton string (hang the loop on a hook if you decide to use a hook), or tie a knot onto the hanger using the unused end of the cotton string
5.) Drying takes about 7 days (a week)
And you have successfully dried your own herbs at home! So easy!
I am drying mint and marjorum in the pictures above. Hanging the herbs was actually like a form of meditation for me because it is so relaxing working with nature, and the smell of both herbs are literally the best!
p.s. How many of you spotted the little Buddha statue in the background? Isn’t it awesome ? Lol, I love it Sometimes I rub his belly for good luck!
