Ghirardelli Baking Chips

Heart Shaped Pan

R E C I P E

2 cups of ghirardelli dark baking chips
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups unsifted whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

D I R E C T I O N S

Heat oven to 375ºF
Stir flour with baking soda and salt; set aside
In large mixing bowl, beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy and lightened in color
Add eggs and vanilla, one at a time
Mix on low speed until incorporated
Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture
Stir in chocolate chips
Chill dough in fridge for 1 hour
Line bottom of pan with parchment paper
Pour 3/4 of mixture into pan
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown
Let cool & enjoy! 

This recipe is perfect for any celebratory occasion! It’s easy to make and so delicious! I made this as a yummy alternative to a birthday cake! You can make it to bring to a BBQ, a house warming party, a birthday party, etc. It tastes best when heated and of course with a glass of milk! I hope you guys recreate this delicious recipe.
