I once read this quote that stated, "If you're depressed, you're living in the past. If you're anxious, you're living in the future. And if you're at peace, you're living in the present." I love that quote because I find it to be so, so true. It's sometimes hard not to get caught up in thinking about things that have already occurred in our lives, and sometimes even harder to not think of "what's next." That's why I constantly have to remind myself to focus more on living in the now, and not worrying so much about what my life is going to look like a year from now. I have let go of people and things from my past, so that I can live comfortably in the now. Because if you really think about it, if we are all so worried about our past and our future, we can't possibly appreciate what is happening currently in the present. I want to live in the moment and give my loved ones my undivided attention. It isn't always easy, but I keep reminding myself what really matters, and what really matters is what is currently happening in my life. :) It keeps me from feeling blue, and helps my anxiety stay at bay :) xoxo.
